I am Arthur David Beaman, Ph.D. I was ordained as a deacon and a priest; and I was consecrated as a bishop. All this was in a church that was a conservative branch of the Old Catholic Church that used the Roman Catholic ritual and liturgy.

After I was consecrated as a bishop, I engaged in a self-guided study of all the scholarly work done concerning the history, archaeology and culture of the followers of Jesus before and in the first years after his crucifixion before the books and letters of the New Testament were written. I also studied the scholarship related to the Bible itself, including the scholarly discipline of biblical criticism. From my studies, I gleaned a body of fact and sound reasoning that came to be the basis of my current understanding of Jesus, and thus the basis of my faith and worship, which I present in this blog.
